Based on Stanisław Lem's eponymous novel, Tarkovsky's probably most famous film is about the psychologist Kelvin who during his journey to oceanic planet Solaris realizes that even sci-fi is less about exploring mysterious happenings in space than about inner dreams and feelings of guilt.
